UK Doctors vote for Generic Drugs in Flu Season

In UK, generic drugs are prescribed 98 percent of the time as doctors say, they are as effective as brand name drugs. Drugs needn’t be cheap but should be cost effective. Generic drugs provide good relief for patients and it is manufactured under strict conditions making it safe.

Generic drugs may differ in its color, shape and price when compared to brand name drugs. Clinical tests prove that they have the same active ingredients though the dosages may differ. Generic drugs are cheaper because manufacturers producing the drugs don’t spend money on marketing or research. Nearly 50 percent of al brand name drugs have its generic versions.
