Generic drugs constitute 24 per
cent of pharma exports from India and in the last
six years, the generic industry is growing at the
rate of more than 20 per cent, he said.
Most of India''s export of generic drugs is to the US
and Europe.
Today, India has the largest number of factories
with USFDA approvals outside the US, Sandhu informed.
About 100 Indian pharma factories have USFDA approval,
he added.
